The Trim tab enables Content Managers to non-destructively edit long form videos into smaller iterations of the source file. Each trimmed video becomes a new video asset in the Fordela library. To Trim a video, click the Trim tab in the Edit Media panel. The video will open in the Trim Tool editor. Below the player controls are two timecode markers. The one on the left is the IN POINT market and the one on the right is the OUT POINT marker. To mark an IN and OUT point, click the play button in the middle of the player. As the video plays, click the IN POINT marker to update the start frame of the clip. The timecode to the left of the IN Point marker will update every time it is clicked. To mark and OUT POINT, seek on the player control bar to the point before the OUT POINT to be marked. Now press the play button and begin clicking the OUT POINT marker until you hit the exact frame for the clip to end. With both the IN and OUT points marked, click the Create button to create the new (Trimmed) video asset. When the video has completed transcode, the new (Trimmed) asset will populate in the Fordela library in the Media Manager panel. This new Trimmed asset can now access all the Edit Media tools within Fordela.
