The Versions tab enables Content Mangers to non-destructively transcode online the video source file to any pre-populated encoding profile available in the system. Custom profiles can be created or modified from the pre-populated profiles. To transcode a new version of a video file in the Fordela library, click on the Versions tab and click on the Select Profile drop-down underneath the Add a New Version title. Select the encoding profile you want to transcode and then click the Generate button to activate the transcode. The new version will populate under the Current Versions title to the left. The direct link to the version will remain grey until the file has completed the transcode. When ready this link will highlight and the new version will be accessible from the playlist menu.
